Gangmasters Licensing Authority information campaign
Written by Pawel Glowacki
Sunday, 03 September 2006
A new licensing scheme was launched in April 2006 to regulate labour providers in the agriculture, horticulture, dairy farming, shellfish gathering and associated processing and packaging sectors. The Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLAThis link will open in new window) was set up to curb the exploitation of workers in these industries.

Szkocja24.com, Polish Community in Scotland website, support GLA's first workers' communication campaign, to ensure workers know they have employment rights, raise awareness of the GLA and labour providers needing a licence, and the conditions workers should expect from their labour providers.
